The Founders’ Memorial, a celebration of our forefathers and the pioneer generation that built Singapore into the nation she is today,
was already in the process of being built, but it needed to reach out to the public to call for contributions of artefacts from Singapore’s earliest years.
This was the first time the public was being introduced to what the Founders’ Memorial is,
and it needed to build on the idea of a common inheritance, the founding values that binds all Singaporeans.
The idea to create a roving exhibition was born.
This exhibition was crafted with 2 purposes: to take visitors through a vivid recollection of Singapore’s past,
and to call for contributions of stories and artefacts by showcasing the ones that have already been shared.
And to connect each section of the exhibition into a cohesive story, the chapters that open each section were titled in such a way that they would resonate with both the young and the old:
Each chapter of the exhibition was titled using National Day song lyrics.
This was all further supported by a social media campaign that not only called for contributions, but shared many such contributed stories and artefacts as well as guides on how to submit any contributions of your own that you might have.

Video Content
Several videos were made for both on socials and for playing at the exhibition itself, most notably these 2 interviews.
Interviews with Mr. De Souza and Mr. Chong were done based on interview pointers that we prepared after casual conversations during initial meetups, as well as some scripted lines based on their own stories that they had shared.
